Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-LQALPDDTFRDLGN, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_075380.1. Purification + Storage Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.Applications TestedPeptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16,000. Western Blot: experiments gave bands at approx 90-100kDa and 37+40+45kDa in Human brain lysate after 0.3µg/ml antibody staining. These bands were successfully blocked by the immunizing peptide and they correspond to earlier findings in the literature with different antibodies (Wang et al, J Neurosci. 2002 Jul 1;22(13):5505-15). This protein has a calculated MW of 50.7kDa according to NP_075380.1. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1µg/ml.
