To order the immunizing peptide for blocking experiments please see Peptide Info.Target ProteinPrincipal Names: MURF1; MURF-1; RNF28; ring finger protein 28; IRF; SMRZ; MURF2; FLJ32380; iris ring finger protein; muscle specific ring finger protein 2; striated muscle RING zinc finger protein Official Symbol: TRIM63 Accession Number(s): NP_115977.2 Human GeneID(s): 84676 Gene Ontology Terms: zinc ion binding; signal transducer activity; signal transduction; kinesin complex; microtubule; cytoplasm; nucleus Immunogen Peptide with sequence DYKSSLIQDGNPM-C, from the N Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_115977.2. Purification + Storage Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide. Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.Applications TestedPeptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 60kDa band in Human Skeletal Muscle lysates after 0.1µg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 40.2kDa according to NP_115977.2. The 60kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported? Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Skeletal Muscle shows strong staining in rare nuclei, and weak staining of muscle fibres in longitudinal section.Species ReactivityTested: Human Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Dog Background ReferenceDai KS, Liew CC.
